MEET COUNCILWOMAN SEEMA SINGH
Councilwoman Seema Singh is running for re-election to the Knoxville City Council in District 3. First elected in 2017, she is a Knoxville native and long-time community advocate, focused on reducing homelessness and intimate partner violence. In her first term in office, she lowered utility costs, led efforts to increase affordable housing options, and led the creation of the Violence Intervention and Prevention Fund to support non-law enforcement initiatives to address root causes of violence. She is running on a platform of fiscal dignity to ensure all Knoxvillians have access to affordable housing and utilities, while prioritizing safer communities, and ensuring Knoxville’s long-term recovery from COVID-19.
Her General Election Day is November 2, 2021.
