Candidate Spotlight: Andrea Bond Johnson for HD 82

Andrea Bond Johnson is running for House District 82, which includes Crockett, Haywood and Lauderdale counties. Andrea was previously endorsed by WTF in 2018 when she ran for this same seat, coming up a little bit short.

This is the district that was held by Representative Craig Fitzhugh, who served for 24 years. Former Democratic Leader and current Ripley Mayor Fitzhugh, along with the entire Haywood County School Board, has endorsed Andrea’s candidacy.

Good news: campaign polling in this race is encouraging. The margin is close, and when voters hear Andrea’s message, they like what they hear.

We must make sure enough voters hear Andrea’s message. HD 82 is a large District and one of the ways the campaign is reaching their rural voters is through radio.

According to the campaign, a contribution of $25 will cover the cost of two radio ads…a contribution of $100 will cover the cost of ten! Let’s ensure Andrea has the resources to reach voters in every corner of the district!
