WTF is proud to endorse Katherlyn Geter, Candidate for Hamilton County Commission District 5

WTF is proud to endorse Katherlyn Geter, a first time candidate running for the Hamilton County Commission in District 5. Katherlyn is a long-time health care advocate who has dedicated herself to helping members of her community and SE Tennessee gain access and understand health insurance markets. Her work was recognized nationally as a White House, “Champion of Change,” which was part of President Obama’s “Winning the Future” initiative, for her work with the Affordable Care Act.

A loving single mom to her two sons, Katherlyn is a tireless advocate for early childhood education and creating inclusion in our schools so that our schools better serve kids like her son Jack, who has intellectual disabilities. Oftentimes, Jack is on the campaign trail with Katherlyn as she knocks doors and meets voters!

Katherlyn is a dynamic community leader and active member of her church who will bring an important and unique perspective to the Commission. A woman last represented District 5 in 2005, when Rep. JoAnne Favors vacated the seat to run for State House.

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 1st.
