Brandi Price is running in District 18, Knox County. Brandi is an attorney who works primarily with the Juvenile Court in Knox County. She is building her campaign on WTF values such as fully-funded public schools, economic policy that supports families, and equal protection for all of our citizens.
Here is Brandi in her own words:
I was the first in my family to go to college, and I know the importance of education. I have worked since I was 15. I see the importance of smart responsible economic policy for helping build up lower and middle class families like mine. As a woman I know what it is like to be underestimated and viewed as less important. I am running so I can use my education and knowledge to help my community and make it better for women like me and families like mine.
“Women’s rights” or “LGBT rights” or “civil rights,” these are all simply human rights. The right to be in any position and earn the same as anyone else, to control your own body, to marry whomever you want, to adopt, to not face systemic racism, and to not face discrimination of any kind. We need to pass the equal pay act. We need to stop attacking Planned Parenthood, and we need to protect the rights of our LGBT citizens. We need to reform our criminal justice system and any other area of law where systemic racism exists.
Voters in District 18 deserve another choice on the ballot—someone who will fight for ALL of their citizens. Brandi Price is that choice.
