WTF is proud to announce its endorsement of Holly McCall for State Representative in District 65.
Holly McCall is running in District 65 for the seat currently held by Representative Jeremy Durham. She is a longtime communications professional in Nashville and a Franklin native with strong roots in the district. Holly supports WTF goals such as access to health care, equal pay, and quality public education.
Here is Holly in her own words:
Our campaign is focused on producing meaningful work and common sense in the legislature. For the last few years in particular, our legislature has manufactured issues where there are none while blatantly ignoring the basic needs of Tennesseans, especially women. Representative Jeremy Durham’s behavior makes him unfit to serve the people of District 65. I could no longer sit idly and say ‘someone needs to do something.’ If not me, who? As a Franklin native, I know the residents of District 65 are pragmatic people who understand that earning the same pay for the same work, providing good, affordable healthcare, and protecting our schools aren’t partisan issues.
Voters in District 65 are being poorly served by Representative Jeremy Durham, who is so embattled that he has practically been banned from the Capitol. Those voters need a qualified alternative, and that alternative is Holly McCall.
